A spiral where product gathers on the track, keeping flow between two process steps.
The machine
The turns of the spiral become the accumulation length, so the capacity sits in the footprint the machine already occupies. Spiral accumulation conveyors provide temporary product holding capacity between production stages.
Best suited for
- Bottles and cans that have to gather before the next step, such as cooling or sterilisation
- Lines with no floor space for a long horizontal accumulator
